2025 High Point Holiday Party
FAQs

What time will the tree be lit?  At an unknown time that is likely between 6:30 – 6:50.  If someone tells you they know exactly what time the tree is lighting, they don’t know what they are talking about.

When are the fireworks?  The holiday fireworks show will begin simultaneously with the tree lighting.   For the best views you need to be in the stadium or the gravel parking lot.

What is a preview of Winter Glow?   Winter glow is a new amazing experience that Visit High Point is putting on.  It officially opens tomorrow and will be open Thursday to Sunday (expect some holidays) through New Years.  After the fireworks, Visit High Point will turn on Winter Glow for the FIRST TIME.  Attendees will be get a limited experience – you can walk the stadium concourse from 7-8.  We will have Santa pictures, Craft Vendors, and Kids activities on the concourse as well.

Winter Glow tickets are available https://www.eventeny.com/events/winterglow-23637/

How is all this stuff free?  Thanks to our amazing sponsors, Furnitureland Rotary has raised enough money to put on the party and will have excess funds to donate significant money to local charities.

Can I really take a picture with Santa for free?  Yes, Santa is available for pictures from 3-6.20 and then 7-8.   Thanks to our sponsor Triad Adult & Pediatric Medicine we have stepped up the Santa experience.  We have 2 photographers from Kreber who will take your pictures and give you a QR code to access the picture.  Pictures will be sorted by last name and then you will be able to download a free, professional photo with Santa.

Do I need to bring any money with me?  This is a completely free event, but we cant provide free food at the food trucks, craft vendors, and local businesses that are open.  BUT you dont need any more to take pictures with Santa; play on the bounce houses; or get hot cocoa and s’mores (we do have limited supplies so make sure you arrive early)

Where do I get free hot cocoa and s’mores?  The food lion tent in the stock & Grain Parking lot  will start serving both at 3pm.  They have 1,500 servings of hot cocoa, 250 servings of Cider, and 750 s’mores so arrive early.    We will also have 250 cups of hot cocoa at the pictures with Santa.    We will run out, so arrive early.

Where do I park?  Parking is available at 1st baptist church and at all High Point Rockers lot (except for the VIP lot on Lindsay St).  Parking | High Point Rockers Baseball

How do I make sure I am not on the trolley when the tree lights?  Dont board the trolley after 6:15.   We will have signs and our volunteers and driver know not to leave 615.

After the tree lights, the trolley will resume from 7-8.

How many bounce houses will there be?  We have 9 bounce activities.

A group of 3 intended for kids 5 and under will be on Elm St (between Church & Gatewood).  A group of 3 intended for kids 6 and up will be on Church St (between Elm and the Trolley Hop.  A group of 3 games (intended for teens and adults) will be to the right of the stage.

Are adult beverages allowed?  Yes, the party is in the middle of the High Point Social District. So you are allowed to freely walk the party with alcohol purchased from Stock & Grain, Plank St Tavern, Dive Bar (and the other bars/breweries in the Social District).
